Its purpose is to recycle the so-called “rubble” or “solid waste” produced during construction and demolition projects undertaken by public and private entities.

ELAPS CDW recycling unit is under the supervision and has a valid contract with ELADS Development Collective System of Alternative CDW Management.

Recycling Stages

From recycling to reusing.

Production
CDW producers can be individuals, companies or public bodies that undertake small or large projects.
Transport
Collectors or transporters are the contracted and licensed transporters, responsible for the correct pic up and delivery of waste.
Storage
CDW are received and temporarily stored in properly designed spaces within ELAPS Recycling Unit.
Recycling
Having the appropriate equipment, specifications and know-how, we recycle waste depending on its composition and class.
Reuse
The ultimate goal of recycling is to market and reuse the recycled materials in future projects.

Directive 2008/98 / EC of the European Parliament and the amendment 2018/851 on waste establishes the fundamental principles, such as the obligation of producers to manage waste in a way that does not adversely affect the environment and human health.
